Jelena's comedy moment on Centre Courrt 2007
Jelena Jankovic & Jamie Murray in the Wmbledon mixed doubles semi-finals. The J/J duo had only just finished the quarter-finals an hour before this on Courrt 3, so this was an unscheduled surprise bonus for those with Centre Courrt tickets who were able to stay into Saturday evening, 07/07/07. In a lovely moment of comedy, Jelena invites a ball boy to sit in Jamie's chair during a bathroom break, much to the crowds amusement. The pair went on to win the match, and Sunday's final, making Jamie the first British Wmbledon Champion for 20 years. A remarkable achievement especially since they'd never played together before, and Jelena had never played mixed doubles.
